History & Team

Proudly owned and managed by father and son team Howard and Devon Thomson.

Howard Thomson was the Co-founder of Discount Pawn Randgate in 1993. The humble beginnings of a small 100m2 shop 28 years ago has grown into us being really blessed in this current large facility. Devon is in everyday and is in charge of helping in all regards and will greet you with a large smile.

Alex is in charge of the online presence and you can also meet him in-store where he manages stock and is ready to answer any questions you may have.

James is a front counter pawn broker and buyer specializing in hi-tech goods, and is a very capable and popular member of the team.

On the floor you will find Israel, Andrea and KG who is standing by for any assistance you may require.

Andries Kgabedi is a front counter pawn broker and an external buyer. Andries is well trained and able to help any one of our clients with anything.

On the till we have Samu who will always greet you with a friendly smile and help you with any questions you have and last but not least we have Poppie who keeps the place shining and will also help you with any questions you have.

All our retailers are knowledgeable and ready and willing to assist you wherever they can. You as the client can rest assured that this team of people can assist you with any of your needs.
